Eucharist "At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his Body and Blood...a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a Paschal banquet..."

Preparation For First Eucharist

The policy of the Diocese of Madison requires that catechesis and the celebration of the Sacrament of  Reconciliation precede the reception of First Holy Communion.  Preparation for the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation is held in the fall of each year.

Preparation for First Holy Communion begins when parents bring present their children for baptism and promises to raise them in the Catholic faith.  Formal preparation begins in 1st grade as the children learn about God, the Trinity, and are introduced to the sacraments in both the school and Faith Formation program.  On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, we will have our first parent/child learning session for immediate preparation of First Holy Communion.  Our second parent/child learning session is Wednesday, April 11, at 6:00 pm.
